Star Air becomes the Largest Regional Airline ever in India

Star Air, part of Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG) and a prominent regional airline, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the largest regional airline ever in India. The airline’s recent addition of its 3rd  Embraer E175 aircraft marks a momentous step in its journey towards enhancing regional air travel accessibility and connectivity across the country.

Star Air its strengthening its fleet to a total of 8 regional jets.  This achievement solidifies its position as a trailblazer in the regional aviation industry, with no other private regional airline in India having achieved such scale and coverage.

The 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft, comprising 12 business-class and 64 economy-class seats, play a pivotal role in connecting India across its length and breadth. These aircraft, strategically operating on RCS-UDAN routes, offer passengers an exceptional level of seating comfort, regardless of their chosen cabin class” added Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO – Star Air.

This significant accomplishment positions Star Air at the forefront of regional air travel in India, and the airline remains dedicated to expanding its reach, offering more routes, and providing enhanced travel experiences for its passengers. Presently, Star Air operates scheduled flights utilizing its fleet of 5 Embraer E145 and 3 Embraer E175 aircraft, connecting a network of 18 Indian destinations. These destinations encompass Ahmedabad, Ajmer (Kishangarh), Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bidar, Bhuj, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kalaburagi, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Surat and Tirupati.
